OB round 1
I had my first OB appointment today. And I have to say that I really like my doctor. I’m so glad that I do, because that was something I was very concerned about.
She came in and met us. Answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. Due date is March 9th, although I’m still hoping for the 11th. She told us that it was still to early to hear a heartbeat, but we would get to hear it next time. Then she asked me if I would mind having an ultrasound done. They’d just got the new ultrasound machine today and she was needing some practice. It would be no cost to me or my insurance, she just needed practice. My response “Are you kidding me?!? What are we waiting for?” Way better than hearing the heartbeat!
So we went into the other room and we saw our tiny little gummy bear! It was so tiny and cute! I can’t even stand how cute it is! We saw it’s heart beating like a little disco ball. Tiny little arms and legs! Definately one of the top 5 coolest things that’s ever happened to me!
On the way home Paul asked me “Were you afraid that there wasn’t gong to be a baby in there?” And that thought never occured to me. It does make it more real now that we’ve seen the baby. I can’t wait to meet him/her in person!
